No, Madam. Labour Bureau, an attached office of the Ministry of Labour and Employment has been conducting household based Annual Employment Unemployment Surveys (EUS) since 2010-11 and released five reports thereon. After 2011-12 NSSO Survey, Labour Bureau has released Employment-Unemployment Reports for the year 2012-13 (3rd report), 2013-14 (4th report), 2015-16 (5th report). The Report for 2016-17 (6th report) is under finalization. On the recommendation of the Task Force on Improving Employment Data, this Survey has been discontinued and replaced by the Periodic Labour Force Survey(PLFS) being conducted by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation.
NSSO started Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) in 2017, which is a regular and continuing survey designed to yield annual estimates on labour force on employment and unemployment along with quarterly estimates for the urban areas on a fast frequency and holistic manner.
